Grayson Thorne Kilpatrick: A Flourishing Talent in Roku’s ‘Chad’

Grayson Thorne Kilpatrick, with a birth date that brings smiles – April 1, 2004 – has developed into a serious talent in the acting world. From Huntsville, Alabama, to the screens of Hollywood, Grayson’s journey is a story of resilience and passion. He has gathered a wealth of experience in a variety of roles, from student films to mainstream TV shows like “Documentary Now!”, “Chicken Girls: The Movie”, and “Daddy’s Home.” His diverse acting skills have also been featured in “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later” on Netflix, “Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell”, “Vikes”, “American Horror Story”, “To Tell The Truth”, and FX’s “Dave”. His latest venture is in the TBS/Roku Channel sitcom “Chad,” where he acts alongside SNL alum Nasim Pedrad and Jake Ryan.

“Chad” offers a comedic yet poignant look into the life of a 14-year-old Persian boy in high school, struggling with typical adolescent challenges and cultural identity. Nasim Pedrad, not just starring but also creating and writing the show, gives it an extraordinary edge. Each episode, lasting around 20-24 minutes, is a blend of humor and life’s complexities.

The Warner Brothers production initially enjoyed a successful reception and was renewed for a second season. However, following a shift in TBS’s programming, “Chad” found its new home on the Roku Channel, set to air in 2024.

Grayson’s role in the second season as Ethan is a testament to his growing stature in the industry. He is thrilled and considers himself fortunate to work with talents like Nasim Pedrad, emphasizing how welcoming and supportive the cast and crew have been.

The roots of Grayson’s acting career can be traced back to a challenging period following a home invasion. Finding solace and expression in Child Play Therapy, he discovered his love for performing arts. A chance encounter with actor Grayson Russell in 2012 led him to his first film role in “Space Warriors.” He honed his skills at Hollywood Huntsville under the guidance of Bill and Ayoka Billions and continued his education at Gray’s Studio in Los Angeles.

Grayson’s on-screen debut in “Campin Buddies” allowed him to work with established actors and further cemented his love for acting. Moving to Los Angeles in 2016, he pursued his career full-time and has been a proud member of SAG-AFTRA since.

Beyond acting, Grayson is passionate about writing and directing. His work on the SAG Short Film “John Foley: Motivationally Speaking” in 2017 earned him a Best Actor award at the Young Artist Awards.

Grayson’s ambition is to continue developing as an actor, taking on roles that challenge him and working with respected filmmakers and actors. Residing in Los Angeles with his pets, he enjoys music, collecting Rubik’s Cubes, archery, and watching college football in his free time.

Represented by Luber Roklin Entertainment in Los Angeles and People Store Talent Agency in Atlanta, Grayson Thorne Kilpatrick is more than just an actor; he’s a multifaceted artist, dedicated to his craft and unconcerned with the trappings of fame.
