Anyone who has ever yelled at their screen during an adult film now has a chance to call the shots. The SDR Show hosts Ralph Sutton and Aaron Berg are bringing their live game show, “Lights, Camera…Erection,” to the Main Stage at EXXXOTICA New Jersey on Saturday, October 24, and the winner walks away with a directing gig.
The show has sold out twice already, so this time Sutton and Berg are going bigger, with a larger room, a live crowd at one of the country’s biggest adult expos, and a grand prize you won’t find on any network game show.
Six Fans Enter, One Survives
The setup is simple. Six contestants chosen from fan sign-ups take the stage and face a gauntlet of questions, challenges, and eliminations run by Sutton and Berg. Adult performers Carter James and Cameryn More will join the hosts on stage, along with a few special guests who haven’t been announced yet.
Round by round, the field gets smaller until only one contestant is left.

The Prize: Your Vision, Their Scene
The last fan standing gets to direct an adult scene starring James and More. The twist is that the scene’s concept gets built from the contestant’s answers during the game, so anything they blurt out on stage could make it into the final product.
Filming will take place privately after the live event. The finished scene will be bundled with the episode and released to paid GaS Digital subscribers.
Of course, getting there means surviving Sutton and Berg, and longtime listeners know that’s the toughest part of the whole deal.
More Than a Decade of Sex, Drugs & Rock ’n’ Roll
The SDR in The SDR Show stands for Sex, Drugs & Rock ’n’ Roll, and the podcast has been delivering on all three since 2014. Sutton has been behind the mic from day one. Before that, he hosted the nationally syndicated rock radio program The Tour Bus, and in 2016 he launched the GaS Digital Network.
Over the years, the guest list has ranged from rock royalty to comedians to adult stars, with names like Gene Simmons and the Impractical Jokers stopping by. Every episode closes with the same ritual: guests share their first experiences with sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll.
That formula is still going strong. Recent episodes featured comedian Brad Williams talking about grinding his way up in comedy, adult performers April Flores and Rina Ellis discussing how they got into the business, and Nick Simmons and Evan Stanley of the band Stanley Simmons talking music and growing up together.
A Big Year on the Charts
The live show arrives during a strong run for the podcast. Last month, The SDR Show broke into the Top 20 on iHeartRadio’s comedy chart and earned a spot on the platform’s front page, introducing it to plenty of casual listeners who may never have stumbled onto it before. For a show that has kept up a two-episodes-a-week schedule for more than ten years, the recognition was a long time coming.
The Aaron Berg Factor
Much of the recent buzz goes back to Berg. The New York comedy veteran stepped into the co-host seat after Sutton personally recruited him to replace longtime partner Big Jay Oakerson. Sutton has joked that Berg was his first call and that Berg initially said no.
Berg eventually came around, and when he made it official, he said sex sits at the top of his list of favorite things, “and to a much lesser extent, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll.”
Berg’s résumé includes roles in The Boondock Saints 2 and Detroit Rock City, several stand-up albums, and two books. He brought his own loyal following to the show, and his back-and-forth with Sutton has played a major part in the podcast’s growth.
What to Expect in Edison
Two hosts who live to roast people, a packed expo crowd, a pair of adult stars, and six fans willing to put themselves on the line. It’s a recipe for exactly the kind of mayhem SDR fans tune in for every week.
