Whereas the music was an emotive escape and a release from the intricacies of his day to day, the motivational speakers would push him to rethink and re-approach the world around him. It would be combining these two influences that allowed Eddie to blaze his own artistic trail, creating and composing musical pieces accompanied by inspirational spoken word and storytelling.
According to Eddie, this opened him to the deeper meaning of music, inspiring him to use his talent to tell his story and, along the way, encourage others. Eddie is also a Youtuber, an international speaker, and the founder of Your World Within. Eddie is widely considered one of the leading voices in personal development, with his videos and speeches accumulating more than 200 million streams worldwide. His track “Commitment” has accumulated over 2.5 million streams on YouTube alone.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his music, Eddie notes that most of his songs are about his personal life and what’s going on in the world. Eddie says one of the reasons he chose to tell his personal experiences is that many will relate to them. He wants his music to be a source of encouragement to those going through similar situations and create awareness.
In his song “Rabbit Hole,” Eddie shows that despite the challenges we face, we can still rise above them. He emphasizes that life gets better when we learn to take risks and explore the metaphorical “rabbit holes” presented to us. When Eddie first started sharing his art, he didn’t instantly shoot to fame. In fact, he notes that he had almost reached a point where he felt like giving up. The money stopped coming in and he felt unsure about how he would make things work in the future. Even though it was challenging though, he didn’t quit on his dream. He says “Rabbit Hole” is a message he created to show people that while there are various obstacles, you shouldn’t let that stop you from getting to where you want to be.
Some of his other releases include “A Wolf Among Sheep,” “Rise,” and “Running Through Hell.” As he continues to thrive, Eddie is working on his next inspirational album, which will be released early next year. He says that his goal is to positively impact more people in the coming years and create an environment where people aren’t afraid to speak their minds and show their vulnerabilities.
