Making music is truly an art. The effort, talent, and sheer determination that goes into any form of making music is incredible, whether it’s producing, singing, or DJing. The people who are already making music deserve an incredible amount of respect. A lot of people dream of becoming musicians, or singers; however, as the realities of the industry become clearer that dream died for many.
However, artist and entrepreneur DJ Shawn G has carried that spirit of determination and passion throughout his life and has ended up becoming a respected DJ.
For many, their passion in life only becomes apparent sometime later on, and many have to spend years, maybe decades before they eventually find it. However, this was not the case for Shawn; he always had an idea of what he wanted to do, and by the time he was just 12 years old it had become his passion.
From the age of 12, Shawn started DJing. As of now, Shawn has made incredible progress. He’s been able to tour 60 cities across 18 countries. These are mind-bending numbers for someone who entered the industry at a very young age. Shawn has also done management work for acts such as Roc Nation artist Casanova, 2X, and Shiggy.
For many, this would be a satisfying time in their careers; however, Shawn is not only an artist but he is also an entrepreneur. In 2021, Tomorrow’s Group did $2.4 million in sales. As well, Shawn is the owner of the live event company called Today‘s Tomorrow Productions where has produced some of the country’s biggest Live experiences.
It’s hard to think of one person who can achieve so much in different fields. Most people have their talents and passions in one place, but Shawn’s interests are just as diverse as his portfolio of work.
These milestones and achievements haven’t always been easy. Shawn has had his fair share of difficult times and he’s had the courage and tenacity to overcome them. Looking back, Shawn mentions the pandemic as one of the hardest times in his life. It cut everything short. To make things worse in the midst of the pandemic, his artist Casanova was arrested. During these times, things seemed bleak. However, he mustered the courage to keep things going and he has managed to come out of it stronger.
Shawn says that you should never give up on your dreams and goals. He says that you should strive to achieve your dreams but, at the same time, remember who you are and don’t lose yourself in the process. Shawn also wants people to live every day of their lives to the fullest because you only have one life.
When looking into the future, Shawn says he wants to explore more avenues. He wants to open a restaurant while also expanding his real estate portfolio. At the same time, Shawn has an interest in the crypto and NFT space and wants to research the opportunities they may provide.
