Fashion As Fitness Motivation with Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Sarah Louise Rector — Founder of The SLR Life Workout Program

Sarah Lourise Rector is an internationally recognized fitness expert based in Los Angeles and the creator of The SLR Life Fitness Program. Her passions go beyond exercise however, they also extend to fitness fashion as a form of fitness motivation! Sarah is not only known for the positive, inclusive, and all-around empowering environment that she created for the SLR Life, but also for using athleisure as a cultural asset for her program! 


“Sometimes it’s so hard to show up to class, I get it,” she says, “that’s why I try to encourage SLR Life members to wear bright colors, [and to] put on a cute workout outfit that makes you feel strong, powerful, excited to workout!”. Sarah takes the lead herself, by always showing up to classes and events with the cutest athleisure sets to lift up the spirits of the space around her.


Sarah’s favorite brands are Alo Yoga, PE Nation, MICHI along with many others. She has also worked with brands such as APL, Bala, and Fabletics to name a few. Not only does she sport some cute fitness sets, but she also works closely with influencing celebrities like the model and designer Talita Von Furstenberg. Most recently, she was invited to the ALO Winter House; a star-studded event put on by ALO Yoga to kick off the winter season. However, she also shares that you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to feel fashionable while working out. “Stores like Target have some really unique and good quality pieces at great prices too,” she says.
