Hi William Diaz! How are you?
I’m excited, the past couple of years have been difficult for a lot of people and the world is starting to open up again. More shows and festivals to look forward to.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I went to school in Venice Beach where I was exposed to music and culture in a significant way. There are a lot of burning man vibes in that area, haha, but also a lot of rap and rock influences.
How did you get into music?
Your environment plays a large role in influencing who you are. Venice Beach is one of those special places that just cultivates the arts and music.
Being constantly exposed to musicians really inspired me. It was and probably is very common to run into people on the boardwalk, I remember watching Swedish House Mafia film an acoustic version of ‘Don’t you worry child’ and being super stoked.
I also attended an after-school program there, Boys and Girls Club where we had constant guests and music classes. There’s even a full-on recording studio in the building we had access to.
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
I’ve been in the festival industry for a few years, always behind the scenes. After college, I started an advertising agency that I sold recently and now I’m coming full circle back to where it all started.
I have a lot of tracks that I’m excited to release this year!
What are 3 words that describe your music?
Electric, Diverse, Melodic
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
I want to share music for any occasion, whether it’s at a music festival, on the beach, or at the gym. I want people to feel energized, and relaxed depending on the track.
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is it coming out? What is it about?
I just released a club track called ‘Enemy’, I have a Pop Edm track called ‘Payday’ coming out late April. I’ve got a melodic deep house track also scheduled for late April.
Anything else you want the audience to know about you?
I believe that people have the potential for a lot of things, there’s no need to be put in a box and that’s exactly what I intend to do with my music. Perhaps I’ll release genre-specific music under an alias in the future.
