This artist out of Miami is working hard while remaining very dedicated to his craft. In a time where there are so many musicians, especially in the rap genre it’s difficult to stand out. However, he knows quality music takes time, and to get the best product it has to be done the right way. James grew up in some tough parts of South Florida but he didn’t allow himself to become a product of his environment. He instead chose to rise above all of the negativity that surrounded him. His family often played music of the past like Luther Vandross, Micheal Jackson, Prince, 2Pac, Nas, Outkast, DMX, Missy Elliot and so many others. This inspired him to start his own journey in music creating and crafting his own sound & style. Although he’s currently in his late twenties, most would see that as a late start. That being said it couldn’t be a better time, as most feel hip-hop needs a fresh revamp and reset to bring back good music.
Furthermore, that journey is already underway as James is setting to release a new project titled “Elements Of Life” with fellow Miami Producer ‘Richy B’. They have their visions set to create a memorable project for people to remember for years to come. The title is self explanatory as they have each track on this album presenting a different emotion to the listeners. Each emotion is an element we need to survive, as these are what makes us human. Some like Happiness, Lust, Pain, Anger, Victory, Heartbreak, Mental Health, Addiction and so much more. This duo has stated they want to “Change the game”. He just recently released their first single titled “Time Shows” on all major streaming platforms. The documentary on the making of the album is in the works and will be announced for release soon.
Roan clearly knows what he’s doing as an artist and wants to be an all time great in music. His song structuring, lyrical ability captivates hip-hop fans, as well as his vocal harmonies adds more layers to his music. You can blame this on his love for R&B. He’s also been featured on some big platforms like “DJ Small Eyes” and others. He plans on being featured on many more in the future. Remember that name ‘James Roan” as he will be one of the marquee names for the remainder of the 2020’s and the 2030’s.
