Rising rockstar Quill’s most recent single “Jessica” (Run & Hide) combines new aged dark pop, with alternative rock influences making this single a must listen. As you don’t see many women of color in the space of rock, Quill’s courage to take a different approach to music is what makes her different from the rest. The dark undertone in production mixed with Quill’s grungy and melodic vocals makes this single easily one of her best releases to date. It really reminds you of early 2000’s rock that took over the music industry with acts such as Fall Out Boy, Queen of Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Systems of A Down.
