On the rise to becoming a household name in many different areas from Acting,
Bodybuilding and Disability advocacy is Mike Infante. Making his return back live on stage in Sacramento CA with Resurrection Theater Company showcasing “Untold Stories”. Starring as Austin in “The Other Room” Directed by Lee Williams. The rest of the cast includes Destiny Syftestad (Lilly), Stephen Watson, (Donovan), Andre Ramey (Talbott), Katie Ahnberg (Christian), Gillian Rains (Nick) and Xavi Bustos (Tyler). “The Other Room” written by Ariadne Blayde released this show in Washington D.C in 2008. Now in 2022, this beautiful show is still relevant in today’s society.
Austin is a brilliant teenage astronomer who happens to have autism. Lily is his popular classmate who happens to have an interest in astronomy. When a chance encounter after school leads to a growing connection between them, Austin’s imagination, intelligence, and constant struggles to connect with the world are revealed in the form of four characters representing his inner life. By turns funny and heartbreaking, The Other Room is a compelling and sensitive glimpse into a unique and misunderstood mind. Infante is honored and excited for the opportunity to play such a beautiful character.
Mike is a huge disability advocate in the community. Infante is thrilled that this show shines a light on the representation for disabilities and the hardship of being isolated, love and breaking norms. Regardless of disability or any challenges, everyone is beautiful in their own way. Infante and the rest of the wonderful company cannot wait to show this heartfelt and riveting story.
