Raneen Awad on Why Customer Trust Comes First

Raneen Awad explains why customer trust, product quality and consistency matter more to her than marketing hype in the beauty industry.

Raneen Awad Explains Why Customer Trust Matters More to Her Than Marketing Hype

In beauty, a strong campaign can put a product in front of thousands of people. For Raneen Awad, that attention means little if customers do not trust what they receive afterward.

As the founder and owner of RENO, Raneen has developed a clear view of what gives a skincare brand lasting value. She places product quality, customer confidence and real demand ahead of promotion alone.

That philosophy has become central to RENO as the company competes in a crowded beauty market where bold promises are common, but customer loyalty still has to be earned.

Raneen Awad Believes Trust Has to Come Before the Sale

Raneen knows the power of promotion better than most. Her career has given her extensive experience with social media, beauty content and direct communication with consumers. Yet that background has also shown her the limits of attention.

A customer may discover a skincare product through an advertisement, recommendation or social post, but the relationship changes once that product reaches their hands.

“Marketing can help people notice a product, but it cannot create real trust by itself,” Raneen says. “For me, customers have to feel confident in the quality of what they buy, because that is what gives a brand a strong reputation.”

This belief shaped RENO during one of its most difficult stages. Establishing customer confidence was one of Raneen’s biggest early challenges, particularly because she had to introduce a relatively new company in a sector already filled with established names.

She chose to treat trust as something that had to be demonstrated rather than requested.

The response gave her confidence in that approach. According to Raneen, RENO achieved strong sales from its first year, which she attributes largely to how customers responded to the products themselves.

For her, those results carried more weight than a campaign that attracted attention for only a short period.

Product Quality Became RENO’s Strongest Argument

Raneen’s approach to skincare starts with a simple expectation: the product itself has to justify the promises made around it.

RENO products are manufactured in Korea through skincare manufacturing facilities selected by the company. This production approach reflects Raneen’s focus on maintaining standards as the range has developed.

One product that demonstrates the importance of customer response within the company is RENO Skin Whitening Cream, which became one of the brand’s leading products after achieving significant commercial success.

“If people try a product and believe in its quality, they remember that experience,” Raneen explains. “That matters much more to me than creating hype around something that does not give the customer a reason to come back.”

The distinction is important in skincare because a brand’s reputation can change quickly. Customers compare products, discuss their experiences and decide which companies deserve another purchase.

Raneen therefore does not separate commercial growth from product standards. In her view, the two depend on each other.

RENO now sells thousands of products each year, which Raneen sees as evidence of the confidence customers have placed in the company. She also believes the brand’s commercial performance has allowed it to compete strongly even alongside companies with greater size and longer histories.

That comparison does not lead her to chase louder promotion. Instead, it reinforces her belief that a smaller or younger brand can earn its position when customers trust what it offers.

Raneen Wants RENO’s Reputation to Speak Beyond Promotion

For Raneen Awad, the long-term test of a beauty company is not how much attention it can generate during a launch. It is what customers say and do after the initial excitement disappears.

That is why she continues to place customer confidence at the centre of RENO’s identity.

“I want people to choose RENO because they trust the brand and believe in the products,” Raneen says. “Promotion is part of business, but quality has to be the reason customers stay with you.”

Her position also reflects how she views responsibility as a beauty entrepreneur. Skincare companies ask customers to place confidence in products that become part of their personal routines. Raneen believes that relationship deserves more than an attractive campaign or a large promotional push.

For RENO, that means reputation has to develop through consistent standards and positive customer experiences.

It is a philosophy that has remained relevant as the company has grown. Sales can measure demand, but trust determines what happens after the first purchase. Raneen sees that difference as one of the most valuable lessons she has learned as a founder.

In an industry where attention can disappear as quickly as it arrives, Raneen Awad wants RENO to be remembered for what sits behind the marketing. For her, a strong beauty brand does not ask customers to believe the hype. It gives them a reason to believe in the product.
