Something big is happening in Southern California this June. More than 40 restaurants and food trucks across Los Angeles and Orange County are coming together for SoCal Burger Week, and eight days of exclusive specials, community voting, and the kind of burger discovery that has you texting your group chat at midnight saying you have to go here. Presented by SoCal Food & Beverage, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to help restaurants thrive and grow, this is the celebration SoCal’s burger scene has been waiting for.
The concept is beautifully simple. From June 21 to 28, participating restaurants offer exclusive Burger Week specials at accessible price points. You eat, you explore, and you vote online for your favorites. At the end of the week, the community crowns the winners of the Golden Burger Awards. No critics, no industry panels, just Southern California deciding who does it best.

And they really do have roots here. The cheeseburger was invented in Pasadena, California over a century ago. Since then, SoCal restaurants have been riffing on, perfecting, and reinventing the recipe in ways that reflect every culture, neighborhood, and craving this region holds. SoCal Burger Week is the first time the community gets to settle, officially who does it best.
The Golden Burger Awards
At the end of Burger Week, the community votes and SoCal crowns its champions. Three categories, one winner each decided entirely by the people of Southern California.
