DENVER – The mile-high city, home of the 2022-2023 reigning NBA champions, is the location of tonight’s game as Nikola Jokic and The Denver Nuggets take on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Tonight’s contest marks the start of the 2023-2024 NBA season.
Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 EST on TNT with the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors squaring off after the conclusion of the first contest. A number of storylines to look out for in tonight’s games, Nuggets face the Lakers in the first matchup since the Lakers got swept by the Nuggets in last year’s playoffs and Chris Paul who’s now a member of the Warriors faces his former team with the addition of Bradley Beal.
The NBA offseason didn’t go quietly as it was quite eventful with the likes of Damian Lillard joining forces with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee, Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzzingis joining the Celtics, Bradley Beal joining the Phoenix Suns, the Spurs drafting the one and only Victor Wembanyama, and the NBA has now implemented an In-Season Tournament. A lot to look forward to this upcoming season not to mention LeBron James beginning his 21st season in the league adding on to his point total that already has him as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
It’s been a long but eventful hiatus, but the time has finally come to hit the hardwood again.
