Drake To Release New Album ‘Certified Lover Boy’

2020 has been a big year in the hip hop world. The COVID-19 pandemic set on its prey, as hip hop fans around the world saw the rise and fall of multiple artists.

While so many artists flopped, Drake made sure to keep his momentum going with multiple releases. The rapper released a collection of unreleased songs called “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” in April, tracking 14 songs which features guests performances from Chris Brown, Giveon, Young Thug and Playboi Carti.

April also marked a moment of history for the Canadian MC, as the rapper became the first male artist to have debuted three songs at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.

With 2020 coming to a close, and the music industry shutting down, Drake make sure to squeeze in one last moment in the spotlight for this year. He announced the release date for his next studio project ‘Certified Lover Boy’.

Drake announced the project would be released early next, setting his sights on a January release date. The artist has been teasing the album’s tracks and recently released a trailer for the project. You can watch that trailer below:
