Bayside Rod’s New EP is Released From Prison

After what seems like 90 long days from his last release, Bayside Rod drops his latest project, titled “Bag Daddy” and it’s just what the rap game needed.

In this project, Rod makes it clear why he chose the title he did. Most definitely in his bag, he terrorizes rap cappers by delivering the raw trap music that many fans have been missing. Hard-hitting beats compliment his water-like flow as he delivers punch after punch for 5 straight songs.

If you don’t already know Bayside Rod, he is a rapper/entrepreneur coming from the state of Oklahoma. The Bayside C.E.O is currently incarcerated on felonious assault charges stemming from a shooting case in early May of 2020 but has not let his sentence stop him from giving the hood what they want. From collaborations with artists like Kidd Kidd, The Missin Linksx, and Pretty Girl Shay, to solo projects like his latest, Rod continues to heat the streets up with a release every 3 months.

The title track “Bag Daddy” is one of the standouts on the album as the slapping bass builds a wall on which the pictures Bayside paints with his lyrics are displayed. He radiates true trap vibes as he hollers “all this bud I’m serving up, you would think I bartend/ if you smoke that pack I’ll let you get it by the carton”, letting us know he’s got that gas if the fire is what you want.

Another banger from the project is titled “Lizzo”. The energy he delivers on this one is contagious as he shares his x-rated intentions about the plus-size music star the song is named after, along with a vivid description of his daily activities and a quick shout-out to the opps. This song is a must-hear and although it’s not the title track it has the potential to be one of the most played songs from the project.

We chose to highlight “Bag Daddy” and “Lizzo” but this project is, without question, nothing but pressure from start to finish. Rod delivers bomb after bomb on “Bag Daddy” from his temporary residence in the Department of Corrections. The quality production of this project makes it almost impossible to notice that it was recorded over a prison phone courtesy of GTL.

“Bag Daddy” is a project to check out and is available on all major platforms right now along with much more music from Bayside Rod. Make sure you turn that up and tap in with him on Instagram @BaysideRodOfficial.
