Brockhampton and Danny Brown Team Up on “BUZZCUT”

For Brockhampton, the boyband that famously formed through a Kanye West fan site, 2020 marked the first year since 2016 where they did not release an album. While they technically released four singles throughout the year, they were all removed from the internet almost immediately after being released and have not yet been reuploaded.

So far, however, their newest single, released Wednesday night, has not yet been removed and seems to be here to stay. The track is called “BUZZCUT” and features Detroit rapper Danny Brown.

Brockhampton also released a video for “BUZZCUT” directed by Dan Streit with creative direction from the group’s own Kevin Abstract. The video is a vibrant, multicolored, and mind-boggling display of images. Throughout the three-and-a-half-minute video, the guys in Brockhampton wrestle with a monstrous Danny Brown, puke slime, and get into a car crash.

The last album released by Brockhampton came in the form of 2019’s GINGER. The group also released a remix of their single “SUGAR” that year which featured Dua Lipa and 90s RB singer Jon B. For Danny Brown, his last project was also in 2019 when he released his fifth full length album, uknowhatimsayin¿.
