Ilya Matyushin Has True Love for The Industry

Ilya Matyushin

Ilya Matyushin is a 20-year-old videographer and editor from East Tennessee. He developed a passion for videography at a very young age when he would make YouTube videos and build an audience around his YouTube content. He quickly fell in love with the actual process of making videos, specifically the cinematography and editing aspects of it. He worked hard to learn everything he could about the process to make his content as good as possible. He went from making cinematic style vlogs and travel videos to shooting music videos and concert recaps for artists to now shooting projects across the board for all sorts of clients in multiple industries. The biggest obstacle Ilya had to overcome was being a perfectionist and never being fully satisfied with his finished work. Even as a child making his YouTube videos with his friends, he was always hard on himself and needed to be better. He has since learned how to take a step back and recognize what’s great in his work and not just what he can make better. This has helped him enjoy the process more and fall deeper in love with his work. When making work he strives to make the audience feel something special. He wants whoever is watching his work to be fully engaged with it and feel a certain emotion by the way it is put together. He works with the collective FourShadow to specialize in different areas to help make content for people in all different industries. He and his team have a big year planned no one will want to miss.
