INDIE SPOTLIGHT: Meet Hip-Hop/Pop Artist HYLEM

Young Hip-Hop Artist Hylem is the next big thing in CHH. The Upcoming Artist out of Louisiana is vastly growing and showing no signs of slowing down. With over 100k Streams on Spotify and songs with artists such as Jude Barclay (unreleased), DEON and Xay Hill just to name a few, HYLEM is one of the hottest young artists on the rise. Born February 21st, Elijah Melancon aka HYLEM was always destined for greatness. He told us that, “As a kid I performed a Toby Mac song in front of 350 People lol, that was crazy.” At a young age HYLEM was already performing, so it makes sense he would grow up to have the clean performance skills he has now. 

Early 2022 he had a performance in Atlanta on the “Manic Nightz” Tour with Henrik, MvkeyyJ, Jude Barclay, WHATUPRG and many more. Christian Artist DEON was at the show in support and says that, “HYLEM is one of my favorite young artists, seeing him on stage was amazing. He is such a natural and performing is a tough thing to master for a lot of artists but HYLEM looked like he was at home.” Crazy enough HYLEM began his career in the midst of the pandemic, he even went as far as saying, “I 100 percent would not be where I am without Covid. I made my first song during covid. Learned how to record, learned how to structure songs, learned everything by teaching my self and working from the time I woke up to the time I fell asleep, and now I’m here.”

HYLEM is a very rare Artist. Very seldom do we see someone so young yet extremely versatile and prolific. The man does not sleep!
