Torrington, Connecticut native Jonnyfenn is a talented independent artist who is making waves in the industry. Jonnyfenn got his start in music in his hometown but has since relocated to Los Angeles, California to make a difference in the industry. Jonnyfenn believes in taking extreme risks, betting on yourself, making uncomfortable decisions, and taking action which has all gotten him where he is today. Jonnyfenn has had numerous achievements in his time in the music industry, but his self-proclaimed greatest achievement has been getting into serious studios and working around serious artists that make a living in the industry. He believes that the key to success is surrounding yourself with people who want the same things and believe in your goals. Jonnyfenn has made sure to get himself surrounded by these people including his business partner Ian Francis. They got their start together when Jonnyfenn was working for him as an assistant engineer at “Sea Tea Soundworks” in Manhattan, New York. The pair have now partnered up and opened studios all over the country including California, Tennessee, New York City, and Connecticut. Within these studios, the pair has worked with talented artists such as Joey Bada$$, Desiigner, Chxpo, Jim Jones, Dom Mclennon, Merlyn Wood, Kevin Abstract, Swoosh God, Curtis Williams, 808 Mafia, Jimmy Wopo, Steven Moses, Maxo Kream, Leveon Bell, Lil Gnar, Germ, Suicide Boys, BrockHampton, and many more.
Kanye West is Jonnyfenn’s inspiration when it comes to music and life. He is the reason Jonnyfenn decided to start making music, mixing records, and producing for some amateur artists. Kanye West had such a big impact that Jonnyfenn quit his factory job at 18 after hearing “The College Dropout” because he was so inspired. If he could work with anyone in the industry it would be Kanye West as he believes the man does mind-blowing things in the studio. The music Jonnyfenn has coming is truly a different breed.
