James William Awad, also known as Senior, has a gift for storytelling through his songs, which allows him to project his messages to fans across the globe.
LYRICS THAT CONNECT WITH FANS
Senior is a Canadian hip-hop and R&B artist who has recently begun his music career. He is set to release a new album, Break & Tell, on July 23rd, 2021. The upcoming album will be Senior’s second album release and features 14 songs that share many of Senior’s personal life stories.
Senior is more than merely an artist who creates catchy songs; he is passionate about connecting with his fans by creating music they can relate to. “My favorite part about making music is sharing my life experiences and feelings. I strive to create music people can connect personally to, and all my lyrics are 99.99% real-life stories,” says Senior.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE MUSIC
Much of Senior’s writing inspiration comes from his own personal life stories, but he also draws from artists he’s inspired by, including Drake, Lil Baby, and The Weeknd. One of Senior’s favorite songs he’s written is Video Game, featured on the new album Break & Tell. “The song is complex and fun; it has a mix of EDM, hip-hop, and rap, and it came together beautifully,” says Senior.
Senior hasn’t collaborated with any other artists yet, but he would love to work with many artists. He anticipates having a few featured artists in the future when his third album is released. Senior is working toward providing his fans with one new album every year and hopes to reach the number one spot in the music charts one day.
ROLLING LOUD PERFORMANCE
Senior is getting ready to perform at the 2021 Rolling Loud festival in Miami and Portugal. His fans are eager to watch Senior’s first live performances at the festivals, and they will be the first of many performances Senior will provide for people, as he anticipates touring following the release of his third album.
