The Harvest Academy is a non-profit organization in Los Angeles that is led by a culinary powerhouse – Chef Supreme Divine. Although ambitious, The Harvest Academy’s mission is to provide “100K Meals Across LA” in the next ten years, which is set to serve 100,000 nutritious meals to the city’s unhoused neighbors.

With this, he was able to lead a team passionate about nourishing the community’s body, mind, and spirit. Every meal served embodies the Harvest Academy’s commitment to excellent health, steadfast hope, and a continued sense of community for those facing food insecurity in Los Angeles.
A Celebration of Mission and Vision
The Harvest Academy, a revolutionary force in the fight against food deserts and the Standard American Diet (SAD), recently celebrated Juneteenth with a record-breaking event that served up more than just delicious vegan meals.
Chef Supreme Divine’s greatest mission is to empower Black and Brown communities through knowledge, wellness, and plant-based living. With one of their initiatives revolving around this philosophy, the Harvest Academy shattered the Guinness World Record for the most vegan meals delivered in one hour.
“I chose Juneteenth because it was the day African-Americans were freed in this country, and I wanted to use my freedom to free my community through food,” Chef Supreme Divine shared, highlighting the deeper meaning behind the event.
The Juneteenth celebration, held on Wednesday, June 19th at Estrada Courts, was a celebration of freedom, an empowerment for individuals and families, and a reminder to take control of their health and well-being through plant-based choices.

Drawing on his own experiences from being homeless, Chef Supreme deeply values and respects people who use their influence and resources to go out of their way and be a force for good. Over the past two years, he himself has served over 30,000 meals to those in need.
This Juneteenth event marked a significant milestone in that journey. With the support of key sponsors like Beyond Meat, Gen V, and Vegans of LA, The Harvest Academy delivered an incredible 1,000 vegan meals in a single hour, etching their name in the Guinness World Records and echoing a more profound message of empowerment in the hearts of the community.
The event wasn’t just about the record-breaking feat, though that certainly added a celebratory air. Representatives from Council District 14, Beyond Meat, and The Boys and Girls Club were also present to showcase the collaborative spirit that fuels The Harvest Academy’s mission.
The focus remained on the families – providing them with delicious, nutritious meals and the knowledge to make informed food choices for a healthier future. “Food is either poison or medicine,” Chef Supreme Divine emphasizes. This Juneteenth event served as a powerful symbol of that truth. By offering healthy, plant-based alternatives, The Harvest Academy not only feeds bodies but also fosters a culture of wellness and self-determination within the Black and Brown communities it serves.
