“Show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world.” – Napoleon Bonaparte
What exactly do we acquire by reading a book? Pleasure, knowledge, or is it merely an activity to keep oneself occupied? Is there a bigger picture beyond these trivialities? The answer is YES. Reading a book on various subjects offers physical and mental benefits. According to a 2009 study conducted at the University of Sussex, reading can actually lower your heart rate and ease muscle tension, leading to a reduction in stress levels of up to 68%.
An experiment was conducted where some participants read books often, and others didn’t. An MRI scan of both found increased brain functioning associated with those who read often, compared to those who didn’t.
Without authors, the world would look like a body without a soul. The way Steve Preda became the soul of entrepreneurial and business books is praiseworthy.
An author, entrepreneur, speaker, coach, and former EOS implementer Steve Preda is a seasoned banker and consultant turned entrepreneur.
Inspired by his entrepreneur great-grandfather, Preda founded his own business, MB Partners in Hungary, which after years of growth, struggled in the great recession. Shaken and disappointed, Preda read The E-Myth by Michael Gerber and Traction by Gino Wickman and rebuilt his company. He turned around and later sold MB Partners and then gradually established himself as a visionary business coach and a prolific author with a series of bestselling books under his credit.
First, he published Insights of a Maverick Investment Banker, an anthology of articles he wrote for the Firm Value newspaper between 2007 to 2012. Preda shared his experience preparing and selling businesses to strategic and financial investors.
Preda authored other notable books, including Insights of a Maverick Exit Advisor (2017), Buyable (2021), and Strategy OS (2023). However, it was Pinnacle: Five Principles that Take Your Business to the Top of the Mountain (2022), written with co-author Gregory Cleary, which put him on the map as a business and entrepreneur writer with voice.
What are the Pinnacle Principles, and how do they help you create a valuable business? Pinnacle is about timeless practices that help business owners turn their companies into well-oiled machines. By embracing the five principles, business leaders can inject growth, profitability, and systems into their companies allowing them to finally enjoy the fruits of their labors.
If you are fearful of missing out on building a great company, or if you think that your business could grow faster, then Pinnacle may be for you. In Pinnacle, Preda, and Cleary demonstrate that following the Pinnacle Principles allows you to even 5X the value of your business within a span of five years.
The book is filled with practical concepts and tools that are simple to implement for any coachable and success-driven entrepreneur. Exciting anecdotes help readers visualize how the 5 Pinnacle Principles and 15 underlying Pinnacle Practices drive growth and profit momentum. Readers of the book learn valuable lessons to develop an effective and cohesive team by creating team alignment around a clearly defined vision.
Pinnacle made a noise as an Amazon best-seller in 2022, received over 100 five-star ratings, and proved popular with small business entrepreneurs, seasoned CEOs, students, and business author peers.
Here are some of the high-profile reviews received by Pinnacle:

“This book teaches you a system to 5x the value of your business in 5 years with five principles. Read it and run with it.” – Cameron Herold, Founder COO Alliance & Author Vivid Vision
Before starting and exiting his own business, Preda began his career as a banker. He led corporate finance transactions at two international investment banks. As one of Central Europe’s first Certified Financial Analysts (CFA), Preda established the CFA Society of Hungary and acted as its first and third president between 2000 and 2005. Between 2017 and 2021, Preda coached small and medium-sized companies’ leadership teams as a licensed EOS Implementer. He still coaches entrepreneurial leadership teams, and his business, Steve Preda Business Growth, recently launched the Strategy OS self-coaching strategy platform (StrategyOS.App).
Steve Preda’s mission is to “help business owners and CEOs reach their Ideal Lives by using their business as a vehicle to get there.” He achieves this by curating, creating, and teaching business tools and concepts that simplify business execution and strategy concepts for small- to medium-sized business leaders.
Steve hosts the Management Blueprint podcast and speaks to entrepreneurial audiences around the US. Since 2016, he has helped scores of leadership teams accelerate growth, profits and build a self-managing business.
