Why Trucci Is One to Watch

Rapper and musical artist Trucci is on the path to success. His new single, “HAHA!” featuring Mink Sinatra, brings him to new heights. Trucci’s heartfelt lyrics and genre-bending tracks make him an artist to watch.

Trucci is the stage name of Cameron Contrucci, who was always interested in music. He started writing his songs when he was sixteen, and ten years later, he penned and recorded a mixtape and several singles. Pittsburgh legends Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa inspired Trucci as a teen. Miller and Khalifa rose to fame around the same time and are credited for putting Pittsburgh on the map as a musical capital. Trucci became more serious about writing and performing music after listening to Mac Miller, whose story inspired him.

One of Trucci’s favorite moments on his musical journey was recording in a professional studio for the first time. A friend invited him to record a song at ID Labs, the same studio where Miller and Khalifa recorded much of their early music. Trucci recorded one of his favorite songs to date in the studio alongside his friend,  and the experience still inspires him.

As his career grew, Trucci learned to focus on himself to overcome challenges. He is familiar with writer’s block and his creativity not flowing. Like many other rappers and musical artists, he experienced phases of partying too hard and legal issues. However, all this helped him push his focus inward. His music is about expressing his emotions to connect to his audience. He believes through music, people can feel and understand all feelings, regardless of who they are.

In the future, Trucci hopes to start working with more prominent names in the music industry and grow his fanbase. His mixtape, Got It?, was released in 2020, with notable songs like “Explain It” and “Gucci Trucci” becoming popular. His latest single, “HAHA!” featuring Mink Sinatra, dropped on September 29 and gained positive attention, including being featured on a billboard in Times Square. Fans can stream the track on all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. With the release of this new music, Trucci hopes to go on tour soon. He wants to travel more and perform in many different cities nationwide.

As an artist, Trucci is still working on evolving his sound. He incorporates different genres into his traditional rapping and focuses on bringing new characteristics to each new track. He credits getting to know new people in the industry and being out of his element with helping him through creative blocks and providing him with new inspiration.
