In a music landscape where gimmicks often overshadow messages, WISCO emerges with a different approach. Wearing a mirrored disco ball helmet and rooted in sonic integrity, the anonymous artist teamed up with Roc Nation’s rising star Jhoni The Voice to create a powerful record called “Stand Up.” The single became a runaway success, hitting number one on Amazon Music for several days and climbing the iTunes charts with force. But beyond the stats lies a deeper story of vision, resilience, and purpose.
WISCO’s decision to remain anonymous is more than a branding move. It is a creative philosophy. Inspired by iconic figures like Daft Punk, the idea is simple. Let the music speak first. “I want listeners to focus on the sound, not the image,” WISCO shares. That sound is a genre-bending blend of R&B, EDM, and Hip-Hop, crafted with intention and raw emotion.
“Stand Up” carries a message that is hard to ignore. It is a call for personal empowerment, self-reflection, and courage in the face of adversity. “Life is difficult,” WISCO explains. “If you stand up for what you believe in and have the courage to speak your truth, then you are already a shining light in the world.”
The collaboration with Jhoni The Voice happened organically. Jhoni heard the instrumental version of the track and immediately wanted to be part of it. “He brought a fresh energy to it,” WISCO says. “We recorded in Miami and captured everything on video. What you see on YouTube is not staged. It is real, raw, and unfiltered.”
That visual aspect plays a key role. Instead of crafting a high-budget storyline, the video for “Stand Up” keeps things honest and intimate, showing the real work behind a song’s creation. “I believe lyrics and sound carry the story. The visuals are meant to amplify that truth,” WISCO explains.
Having been in the industry for just three years, WISCO has already shown impressive growth. With early guidance from producers in both Miami and New York, the artist developed a signature sound that is now resonating across platforms. And yet, despite chart success, WISCO remains grounded. “I am not trying to be famous. I just want people to enjoy the music and maybe feel a little more empowered because of it.”
Spiritual themes run through the song too, with messages about faith, unity, and the strength of the human spirit. “We are one people. We need faith in ourselves and in something greater than us to help find our purpose,” says WISCO.
Looking ahead, WISCO hopes to continue experimenting with new styles and collaborators. A pop song may be next on the list. “I have not produced a pure pop track yet. It would be fun to try.”
The helmet stays on, the identity remains hidden, but the message is loud and clear. “Stand Up” is more than just a single. It is a movement built on truth, spirit, and sound.
