Black Prez has a chip on his shoulder and nothing is slowing him down. What he has been able to accomplish independently has put everyone around him on serious notice. He is inspired by seeing others succeed and go after their dreams and his constant effort to root for the people around him makes him a very lovable guy. Having made music for 10 years, he has done amazing things in his career, working with Shaun Reynolds, Apashe, and KID SOMETHING, also accumulating millions of streams fully independent. What sets Black Prez apart from his peers is his delivery style, he has truly mastered the art of presentation, when you hear Black Prez expect the track to be beautifully crafted and executed. All the way down to his cover arts, he is very cohesive with what he releases. Black Prez is such a unique name and when asked where he got his name from he said, “When I was in 8th grade, I gave a speech to my speech and debate class about why I did not like the class and why I should be able to transfer into a different class. I guess the speech was so good that everyone cheered and started clapping afterwards. One kid said I sounded like a president. Another kid agreed and called me “The Black President”. Years later when I started rapping, I needed a name and I thought back to this time in 8th grade. I shortened “The Black President” to “Black Prez” and ran with it”. Black Prez is ready to take over and with the determination and motivation to win, success will never leave his side.
