Babyface Ray Affiliate Kyn Follow ‘Keep In Touch’ Anthem With New Late-Night Grooves

Kyn has quickly built traction in his native Detroit, garnering the attention of rising artists such as Babyface Ray almost immediately due to his entrancing sound.

And even though Kyn still has the Motor City on tilt behind he and Babyface Ray’s fan-favorite 2021 collaboration “Keep In Touch,” his come-up story is one marked by perseverance.

From as early as his sophomore year in high school, Kyn has been involved with and collaborated with major players in the Detroit music scene. In fact, in 2011, he joined forces with “2 Million Up” rapper Peezy for the release of his first music video entitled “All Night Long.” Though the Lil Ron Beats-produced record is an early reference for Kyn’s immense talent, it also serves as a marker of longevity for the vocalist whose career has already seen multiple different stages.

Throughout the mid-2010s, Kyn was also a part of a Hip Hop group that also gained traction in the city and ultimately helped boost his songwriting abilities. Kyn eventually moved to Atlanta for a short period of time and began songwriting with several notable acts from the city. Combining his distinctive Michigan-bred identity, along with his ability to write street-certified, women-approved bops, Kyn quickly became a fixture in a few different studios across ATL.

By 2021, Kyn had made it back to Detroit where he locked in with his trusted engineers Asar, Smerf and Killz. He says they helped him perfect his sound — which is the equivalent to moody 2 AM drives to connect with sneaky links and old flames. He also began dabbling in production, co-producing with the likes of producers such as TraviRay, K Money and Lee Chop, among others.

Kyn then joined forces with Babyface Ray in the studio and the pair constructed “Keep In Touch,” and subsequently flew to Las Vegas to shoot the visual with prominent rap video director Kardiak Films. Equal parts toxic romance and impassioned chivalry, “Keep In Touch,” is the perfect example of Kyn’s chameleon-like pen game which he can adapt situationally to meet the needs of any record.

“You say I do too much but you’re the one that keeps in touch/My schedule’s inconvenient I’ll be back another weekend/But tonight stop over thinking if you single it’s not cheating/And I’m glad you didn’t keep him he wasn’t good for you anyway/He was in the way now that he’s gone you can’t enjoy the day,” Kyn croons over the instrument-infused production.

After racking up more than 100K views overnight, Kyn and Babyface Ray’s collab quickly took over radio airwaves in the city and once again aligned his name with the top talent in Detroit.

Along with collaborating with Babyface Ray on multiple other unreleased records, Kyn has maintained his traction via a series of releases, which include his recent single “You Know I Know.”
