Hi M.T.G.! How are you?
“I’m good. There’s been a lot going on. A lot of travel. I’ve been getting chances to do shows and more music is coming.”
Where are you from?
“Originally, I am from the Southside of Chicago. In the Washington Park area.”
How did you get into music?
“I always played instruments growing up. I went to boot camp when I was 16. We didn’t have tv or radio, so we wrote our own and made beats by beat boxing. That’s where I sold my first song and it was for 3 dollars.”
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
“My greatest achievement so far has been actually becoming who I wanted to be this far and doing it on my own terms. I have the reach that I need and no one can tell me what to do.”
What are 3 words that describe your music?
“Relatable, original and personal.”
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
“It’s ok to talk about stuff. Or own up to your own situation.”
Who inspires you the most musically?
“Doe. ReallyDoe was one of the first guys that I met who was a songwriter. He’s made a lot of my favorite hits. “
Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
“I think me and Drake would make the song of the year together.”
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
“A few videos are dropping soon. Only Fans finally coming out soon. My birthday is coming up October 19th so I’m hoping it can be ready by then.”
Anything else you want the audience to know about you?
“There are a few shows that I got invited to come out and also some I will be a main performer. This year is going to end right and the next one will be crazy.”
