itsMelinaWorld, a 25-year-old hip hop lo-fi artist, just dropped her latest project, “Passage through Takayama”. Driving influences from greats like Nujabes, Melina’s latest project is a testament to the great hip hop culture that Japan has brought back into western hip hop.
With tracks like “Sakura”, you can hear Japanese flutes hovering over a classic lo-fi beat and harmonic sound. Many would argue that this is her best work yet. A surprise release has left fans craving more, and anticipating her next release.
For now, Melina prefers that her fans absorb in this EP to its full extent.
