J. Gervin is a talented artist from Gonzales, Texas who has focused his life on music. As a child, J. Gervin got influences from his family to listen to all genres of music and find what speaks to him. He first started getting inspired by the Oldies radio station by his mother and grandmother and then expanded to disco, rock, and hip hop through his uncle. As he started to hear some of the greatest artists and the most influential styles around, he started to see himself as someone who could be in their shoes someday. He began freestyling for fun around his friends who told him his talents were too strong to not be taken seriously. From then on, J. Gervin did everything he could to get his own music out to the world whether it be recording on a karaoke machine or in a studio, he wanted his voice to be heard.
Now, J. Gervin has hit great heights including having 3 million SoundCloud plays and sharing the stage with artists such as Chalie Boy, Slim Thug, and Z-Ro. When making music J. Gervin looks to his fans to be able to get a strong message out from his lyrics. He wants every record he puts out to portray the emotions he has encountered and teach people through his own lived experiences. This message stays true in his upcoming EP in “The Burner” which will be released on November 18th, 2022. This project is about his life experiences both good and bad to show how he got to where he is today. This will be J.
