It was a cold night in Palm Springs and the drive from Los Angeles was a little frustrating but the night blew me apart. I drove to see Cleopatra Records “Luna 13” for the first time playing on their home turf of Coachella Valley. I arrived at 10:30pm to see a bondage stage being built. Quite fitting for the vibe of “Luna 13.”
Domina Death
I had no idea what to expect as again I was here to see Luna 13. I am so happy that I arrived early enough to see this. “Domina Death” was an electrifying event of BDSM and she had the audience and including myself vibrating with excitement. An absolute punishing event that was also beautiful to watch. I will be looking forward to seeing her again. I highly recommend seeing “Domina Death.”
Luna 13
Luna 13 busted the ceiling immediately, I was shocked by their power within a minute or so and this show escalated into sheer chaos. Within a few songs, Bart Lounge went into a frenzy and a mosh pit opened for Luna 13 that engulfed the room forcing most to watch from the Bar. Luna 13 is a Bass Music project that is simply devastating and their sound is on another level. Their performance is punishing and brutal yet you realize that they don’t sound like anything you have ever heard. They’re originality is boundless and I do believe Lilith Bathory is in a class by herself and she balances Beauty and Blood with a pouncing, venomous voice. They push hell on you and take you to some dark realms. So happy to know that this duo is real with the occult they preach and the mastermind or their sound is a real spiritual cat named Doc Luna who is an avid worshiper of the Goddess Hecate and is a priest at the ‘Temple of Hecate. M.’ You feel all this in their sound. It’s explosive and supernatural. Luna 13 is a must-see project and can satisfy an electro-head and Death Metal-head alike.
What awesome people Karla and Edgar are. I had the fortune to talk to them briefly before I left and they were such great people and man do they put on great shows. They are the gothic lifestream of Coachella Valley and I will be attending more of their events in the future. Please support these great people.
