Releasing their first single “Leave the Door Open” on Friday, the duo is planning to release a full album later this year. In terms of music oddities, Kings of Leon has become the first artist to release a project in the form of an NFT, a concept many are struggling to fully understand. When No Rome alluded to a nearly completed track featuring the alt-pop icons Charli XCX and The 1975, it was immediately assumed a potential summer smash hit was in the works. Now with the track, entitled “Spinning”, finally released, that is just what was delivered. Sunny production from George Daniel of The 1975 pairs well with exhilarating vocals from Charli XCX, No Rome, and Matty Healy. “Spinning” has definite potential to be a cornerstone on many playlists for summer 2021. Tigers Jaw – I Won’t Care How You Remember Me
Close to four years since the release of their 5th studio album Spin, the Scranton, PA, emo rock outfit Tigers Jaw has returned with their newest album I Won’t Care How You Remember Me. Their first album with Hopeless Records, the group’s 6th studio album is a breath of fresh air in the 2021 emo scene, a musical style that has been deteriorating in terms of quality and uniqueness in the last handful of years. Songs like “Lemon Mouth” and the album’s title track show that Tigers Jaw are still flourishing creatively and doing their all to keep their scene alive. Denzel Curry & Kenny Beats – UNLOCKED 1.5
Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats, a lyrical force and production mastermind respectively, collaborated on 2020’s UNLOCKED to create one of the best rap projects of the year. Now, the duo has enlisted an exciting cast of artists and producers to help put a new spin on each of the project’s eight tracks. UNLOCKED 1.5 features guest verses from rappers like Smino and Joey Bada$$. On the production side, guest mixes were contributed from The Alchemist, Charlie Heat, Robert Glasper, and more. The most enticing remix on the project is the Georgia Anne Muldrow version of “Track07” which features vocals from budding UK singer-songwriter Arlo Parks.
