RICKY is a thriving young artist based out of Santa Rosa, California. Growing up his father constantly played Elvis Presley and the Beatles around the house, which sparked his passion for music. He fell in love with the idea of being able to express yourself emotionally while impacting people’s lives. When he was 14 years old RICKY got his start in the music industry by becoming a promoter. He won a dance contest and was offered an internship at Showout Entertainment. RICKY swiftly separated himself from the rest of the pack and became one of the head promoters, throwing some of the biggest shows the North Bay has ever seen.
Gradually through his exposure to the music industry, RICKY began writing his own music. His inspiration for creating music was “I want people to leave with a feeling that they are understood. I want them to understand that someone else is going through the same things they are.” RICKY has created his own unique style and delivers a powerful message through his lyrics. He attributes some of his early influencers like Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, and Wiz Khalifa for his ability to effortlessly paint a picture in the mind of the listener. RICKY’s wordplay is stupendous and leaves the listener with a deep emotional connection to his music.
On March 4th, RICKY released his highly anticipated debut single “OD”. It’s about being in the party scene of life, and not wanting to OD. He raps elegantly over a melodic beat and gives his fans a unique perspective on the mind of a young rapper. “OD” will establish RICKY as a prominent rapper who will impact the music industry for years to come.
