I’m grateful!! I’m moving the way I want to move with passion, I feel unstoppable and fearless.
Where are you from?
It’s hard to really say… I don’t feel like I’m from anywhere in particular, I am a young undocumented (Dreamer), I am 4N. I was born by the border of Laredo Tamaulipas, Mexico, I moved to “H-Town” the city of Houston TX when I was 6. I lived in the South on Yale st. in a single-room trailer by a ditch with a family of 4 where drug and alcohol abuse were making it difficult for us to believe in success. We ran away from the city when I was 12 years old to the Land of Enchantment! The middle of nowhere, where the persona “Eddy G” was formed. I wish my heart said this is home, but no place has ever felt like home for me.
How did you get into music?
I have always been interested and passionate about music, since I can remember. I started creating music when I was 14 years of age. I actually started by playing the acoustic guitar and singing covers to hits that were playing on the radio at the time.
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
My greatest achievement thus far has to be my passion to keep learning. Being able to connect with people, build my network in the business, and plan for future success. Regardless of the people who I have been able to be in front of like Amir Boyd. Walking into a big fancy facility like Universal Music Group and seeing eye to eye with someone as important, being the vice president of Interscope Records. This motivated me to look forward to investing my time and talent into something I was already in love with. Aside from the creation and the art of music, I really feel like being humble and focusing on understanding the game is my greatest achievement.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
I want people to see the authenticity of my music, getting them to relate and connect emotionally with my tracks by sharing similar pain and life events. I don’t want my music to be a “Blah” yet allow people to relate to my eternal journey in a 360-degree view. I really strive to create a powerful and original sound, combining elements of modern Urban music with melodies and hooks most commonly associated with genres such as Hip-Hop and Latin. I encourage people to not stay quiet, don’t hold back, listen… but use your freedom, use your voice then you will realize YOU can too make it happen!
Who inspires you the most musically?
I gotta say that who inspires me the most are the people my fans. There is the spark we bring as artists to be able to make a difference in the world, most of that comes from being real and speaking truth. I want to share that shine with others, inspiring them to bring truth and honesty, encouraging all types of people to be themselves.
Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
I ask myself this question almost every day, there is so much talent out there. But it has to be an artist that I look up to and I’m most inspired by Drake.
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
There is nothing quite like the energy of a good contemporary urban song, and this track “Drop Top” really nails that vibe, capturing the interest of the listeners from the moment they hit the play button. “Drop Top” is a strong indication of greater things to come, and it’s definitely a sign that people should have Eddy G on their radar. Eddy G – “Drop Top” (official music video) is ready for release the first week of December right before ending the year 2021. It has been a journey, a story to tell and everyone has been watching step by step as if they were there with me going through the process. “ I left and lost it all to have it all” I went through a tough, painful, and unforgettable series of life events that changed me for good. I was born again! I went from giving up to being determined to show the world where your love and passion for something can take you. I am out here to grab what is mine, it was already written.
Anything else you want the audience to know about you?
As they say, some of the best artists are the ones with a story to tell. When you listen to Eddy G, you’ll instantly know that he is not only looking to entertain the audience but also share something a lot deeper, such as his point of view and his life experiences, which are incredibly diverse and easy to relate to for people of all walks of life. As an artist, Eddy G is able to make music that is so spontaneous and real, and he isn’t just a great lyricist, but also a stunningly talented producer who brings a high degree of sonic excellent to his material. “Drop Top” for example, is a massive song that hits the listener with a ton of groove, and the melodies are just as fun and catchy as the rhythmic elements in the beat.
