Originally born in Compton, California before landing in Memphis, Tennessee, rising star Big MG has been making waves in the music business. Even as a youth MG knew he’d grow up to be a superstar. MG grew up a star basketball player playing from middle school all the way through college. While in school he majored in Mass Communications while also learning photography, videography, and audio engineering. Those skills would help him gain ground into producing his own projects as well as other paid projects. Following college MG would pursue a career in music however unforeseen circumstances would put that dream on hold. He instead shifted his focus into building a t-shirt business soon known as ‘Millionaire Grind’.
Currently, MG is an independent artist who has his musical inspirations come from artists such as Jay-Z, Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne. MG’s musical passion stemmed from an early interest in poetry. When MG first started writing it was in a form of poetry however he later put the poetry over a rap instrumental after seeing how difficult it was getting young teenagers to listen to poetry.
Big MG is currently recording an EP titled ‘M.A.D. (My audio diary) with the release date to be announced in the coming months. The idea behind this EP comes from MG wanting to dig deep and properly introduce himself through his music. Big MG will be at the top of hip hop for generations to come.
