How Women Juggle Multiple Roles Everywhere, Every Day

Extant literature on women’s careers, work opportunities, and experiences has examined diverse individual and contextual factors that facilitate or hinder their career progression and access to leadership positions. If we look back at ancient times, certain jobs were restricted to men only, especially those that involved economic benefit. But as the world progressed, society evolved its mindset and started improving.

As we strive towards creating a society that offers equal opportunities, allowing women the chance to explore themselves and the opportunities they can avail has become important. A modern woman’s life is multi-faceted. Industries such as finance, manufacturing, construction, and engineering are male-dominated and women make up only 25% or even less of the workforce in these fields. Many women are carried away by certain doubts while working in such professions.

Over the past few years, women have made use of the opportunities offered to them and have repeatedly proved that they are no less than men. Initiatives on women’s empowerment in the 21st century provide women with ample opportunities to excel in whatever field they choose. Women have actively participated in all spheres, from joining the armed forces to taking up leadership roles in government office.

Along with the focus on women’s empowerment, it is crucial to provide women with the means to learn. Working in multiple professions, Daniela Asaro Romanoff has set an example for all women to grow beyond societal barriers. Born in Italy, Romanoff moved to New York in her teens. Her passion for working in the corporate world increased when one of her relatives took her to their office.

She started her career as a photocopier, working for Onassis’ yacht, Christina. Through her continuous efforts, she has now become a well-known Italian journalist, physicist, and artist. Being competent in every one of her professions, Romanoff has broken all norms and skillfully excelled in more than just one field.

She is a physicist who currently heads a physics laboratory. Exploring her skills, she has diversified her talent into multiple career paths. She has written several articles and interviewed famous athletes in both football and motoring. Her manuscripts advocate the value of sports while also delivering the Cuban cause (armed uprising in Cuba that overthrew the government of Fulgencio Batista on January 1, 1959).

Romanoff followed her father’s footsteps. Her father always instructed her not to take recommendations from anyone. Being a Romanoff descendant, she could have easily taken recommendations. For instance, she is a far cousin of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and have Rothschild family as well as some Jews in her genealogic tree. But it was her passion that led her to be independent, self-made woman.

In an interview, Romanoff told that when she was sixteen, she could have entered the modeling industry as her father’s cousin was a stylist but instead, she refused to choose modeling as a career. Because she wanted to express herself as her generation, by becoming a doctor, a lawyer, and so on.

Romanoff takes immense pride in saying that she is a self-made woman just like her father was, a self-made man. Despite the fact that her life has put her under different situations where she could have taken recommendations from others, she chose to believe in her capabilities and explored her passion in multiple career paths.

Her courage made her a successful author as well. She is multilingual with proficiency in French, Spanish, and Italian. Setting the bar high, Romanoff has written many books in different languages. Some of her all-time favorite writings include Saint Romanov et Monasteries Russes, Amanecer de Cuba, Alba Cubana, and Salvemos al Futbol. One of her books, Tombees en amour pour la douleur, was originally written in Frenchand translated to English, titled Male and Female, ‘He Created Them.‘ Her work has been recognized worldwide and received a lot of appreciation.

She has also written poems on various topics covering different aspects of life. She dedicated a bust to Ayrton Senna, which can be seen in the Autodrome of Monza. Undoubtedly, Romanoff has shown her expertise in almost every creative pursuit. She has excelled in every phase of her artistic journey, be it painting and sculpting or song composition, writing, and sports. Romanoff’s success can be seen in the expert opinion pieces she has published online that encapsulate the strategy of football games.

Romanoff hasn’t restricted herself to the literature world. She has also put forth exceptional work in the world of art. Showcasing her skills as a painter and sculptor, she has exhibited unique samples, including Russian Flowers, Golden Monasteries, and The Hollow Man. Nothing in the world of art is left untouched by her. She is the best example of breaking stereotypes and is a modern-day polymath. The variety of professions she has chosen has left an impact on women’s empowerment worldwide.
