Interview With Artist 1008 Brick

Hi, 1008 Brick! How are you?

I’m feeling blessed.

Where are you from?

I was originally raised in a small town called Alamo, in west Tennessee. But Atlanta raised me.

How did you get into music?

Growing up I always had a love for R&B, so but I never thought about doing music. All my other friends in high school were already doing music. You know, I could sing, so they ended up pushing me to do it.

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

So far my greatest achievement as an artist, is I’ve learned how to record myself with a slight mix. I be rocking out.

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Melodic, gritty, and soulful.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

That gangsters can sing too. Not all of it is hard rap.

Who inspires you the most musically?

Yung Bleu.

Who is one artist you wish you could work with?

Yung Bleu or Kevin Gates.

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?

I have a new single coming out called Mac’n and Stack’n. It’s about a young fly guy, hustling his way up in life. With an attitude that most would take for arrogance but it’s just confidence.

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

I’m true Trap R&B. Not also do I do music, but I’m also an actor and model. I’ve been TV, playing the lead role in Fatal Attraction (Season 4 episode 11).
