“Vie” by Julian Kerins is an uptempo piece that makes extensive use of drum breaks and polyrhythms to keep your attention throughout. Julian recently played a live studio version of the song with bassist Michael Schuler and drummer Michael Vetter at VuDu Studios in Port Jefferson, New York, which was originally recorded and featured on Kerins’ 2020 album “To Solemn Maia.” The live session provides the opportunity to hear a much brighter version of the original song, and the dope bass guitar grooves slap seamlessly with the dark lyrics to create a cool yet freaky ambiance as the talented trio brings it to you live and direct throughout.
