From the young age of 9, Jonathan Faneytt, who goes by the stage name of BigBop, has always felt called towards music. Growing up in Queens, NY, BigBop has been exposed to many genres of music but ultimately gravitated towards Rap & Hip Hop. Drawing inspiration from other artists from the likes of Lil Wayne to Justin Bieber, helps him compose his own art. BigBop credits his talents as an artist to his undeniable work ethic, life experiences, and his mother.
Even at such a young age, BigBop is no stranger to the spotlight. He has been featured on Power 105.1 and has worked with the world-renowned artist “Soulja Boy.” BigBop is signed under his own record label “WavyWorld” and is hands-on with all his music. BigBop has major plans for the future as he gears up to drop multiple singles, including “Only Know” featuring Slick Pusha, “Lies”, “Alone”, and “Crash Course”. In addition, his highly anticipated music video for his hit song “Like My Bop” is set to release in the coming weeks. This is an exciting time for BigBop fans as his trajectory is set to explode after his new work is released.
Life hasn’t always been easy for BigBop, he has had to overcome many trials and tribulations in his life, including 5 years behind bars. Although he has had to battle through many challenges, he believes it has made him the man he is today. BigBop delivers a beautiful message through his music hoping to inspire all that listen to keep pushing and go after their dreams. BigBop knows that everyone’s biggest competition is themselves and hopes to be a spark of light for those going through challenging times.
