Solo E started singing at the age of six and was introduced to the creative side of music through his Auntie Kiwi. He remembers going over to her studio to watch her produce music. This was the spark that drove him to begin learning and creating his own music. At the age of 23, he decided to pursue being an artist full-time. Since, he has performed on BET 106 and Park Wild Out Wednesday and opened for major artists such as Mindless Behavior, Soulja Boy, Young Jeezy, Tyga, and Mike Posner, among others.
The Detroit-born artist is set to release his newest single in September called “Ride.” In a personal interview, he described the song as saying, “‘Ride’ is based on me doing my girlfriend wrong by not being there for her all the time; cheating and acting like I never cared for her.” This discussion aligns with the themes of Solo E’s music that focuses much on personal experiences. He explains, “My music is more tied to today’s life. Relationship goals, break-ups, and going through hard times in life. I want my music to be the up-life to everyone. I want them to understand what they are going through and that others are going through the same thing too.”
