Miya Ford or better known by her stage name Miya Guggs is a talented up-and-coming independent singer-songwriter making her presence felt in the R&B/Pop scene.
Before starting music, Miya grew up in Kansas and was quite active with sports until her second year of college. She’s also been in and around the entertainment scene since she was 15 doing commercial acting and modeling in Kansas City. Having a knack for entertainment, Miya moved out to LA to join her cousin, and there she began to find herself being around music. Miya started going to the studio with her cousin and ultimately discovered a voice that had famous producers encouraging her to pursue music full-time. The young artist picked up on song development, writing, and recording processes in those studio sessions and has since taken music and her talents seriously. To this day, Miya Guggs has continued to build her brand and fan base and has accumulated almost 10K monthly listeners on Spotify.
A perfect introduction to Miya Guggs is the popular and most streamed single “Situationships.” The song does an excellent job of spotlighting her beautiful voice and leaves no question that she’s meant to be an artist.
Miya Guggs later released a music video for the calm R&B-influenced tune, and the reaction to it was very positive. The video showcases Miya voicing her lyrics throughout various locations shot in Los Angeles. Scenes of her dancing, playing basketball, and hanging out enjoying the LA sun complete the visual.
